We’re looking for a structured and detail-driven Product Developer Assistant to support our Apparel Team in Åre — with a specific focus on color management, product data accuracy, and development support across the full garment lifecycle.
In this role, you will work closely with Product Developers, Designers, and Material Specialists to ensure our seasonal color palettes, materials, and product data are correct, approved, and delivered on time to suppliers. This is a development-focused role where precision, coordination, and communication — both internally and with our global team — are key.
Your responsibilities will include:
As part of the Klättermusen Apparel Team, your responsibilities will include:
Product Development Support
Assist in building and maintaining tech packs, BOMs, measurement charts, and spec sheets
Prepare and update product documentation throughout proto, SMS, and production stages
Conduct measurements and evaluations on size sets and Pre-Production Samples (PPS)
Approve and seal PPS after thorough assessment, and send sealed PPS to suppliers
Track sample status and follow up with suppliers on deadlines, changes, and corrections
Participate in fit reviews, collect comments, and document development changes
Support internal testing processes (materials, construction checks, lab tests)

Color & Material Coordination
Assist with seasonal color development, material updates, and lab dips
Track and evaluate color submissions from suppliers (lab dips, strike-offs, bulk trim cards)
Help ensure seasonal palettes are consistent across categories and factories
Maintain color data, naming systems, and approvals within PLM
Support designers with colorway sketches, material details, and seasonal line documentation
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and related documentation to support seasonal product transitions
Help prepare final color/material files for production handover

You’ll report directly to the Apparel Development Lead and collaborate with Product Developers, Designers, Material Specialists, and the Hardware team.
The experience you’ll bring to the role is:
Degree in Apparel/Product Development, Textile Engineering, or similar field
Understanding of garment construction, materials, and development processes
Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (technical drawings, color callouts)
Experience with PLM or similar product data systems
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail — especially with data and color
Ability to track multiple deadlines and follow up proactively
Comfortable communicating with international suppliers and global teams
Interest in functional outdoor apparel, technical materials, and performance fabrics
A genuine curiosity for color accuracy, testing, and visual precision

Job Description:
As a Product Developer you will work in the product development team from prototype through the final stages of the creation process, to ensure our gear meets the highest standards in quality, durability, and attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about textiles, functions, and the outdoors. We're looking for a hands-on team player with an eye for detail, quality and a proactive mindset, ready to take ownership and drive progress.
What you’ll do
Review and evaluate samples to ensure they meet product specifications, perform fit evaluations (together with designer and pattern maker), update BOMs and measurement specs, and contribute to the creation and refinement of technical documentation.
Maintain and manage accurate product data and documentation in the PLM system, ensuring traceability throughout development.
Co-ordinate with suppliers and factories to gather information, request samples, and follow up on developments.
The job includes travel to factories to ensure best practice and progress in development.
Ensure quality and production issues are solved and implemented together with Service and Production teams.

What you have
3–5 years of hands-on experience in garment product development, preferably with functional or outdoor-focused products.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Garment Technology or Textile Product Development. We also welcome applicants with equivalent education from vocational schools or similar institutions.
Experience working with technical fabrics, construction techniques, and production workflows.
Good organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
Practical knowledge of a PLM system.
Experience working with or communicating with suppliers and production partners
Business-level proficiency in written and oral English communication.
To succeed in this role, you should be curious, detail-oriented, and solution-focused, with a strong ability to understand the purpose and intent behind each product.

• Erfarenhet från VA-branschen eller politiskt styrd organisation är meriterande, men det viktigaste är att du har rätt driv och engagemang.
• Kommunicerar väl på svenska i både tal och skrift.

We are looking for someone who is well versed in construction and fit, good eye for details and finding technical solutions, used to work with functional products and passionate about quality and details.


Its important to collaborate with other departments to ensure that all feedback from costumers are considered, and that all collection information is updated and accurate. It is a creative role but also requires a high level of structure and planning to meet timelines and deadlines throughout the development.




What you'll do:
You will be a part of the Klättermusen design team making sure the quality, workmanship, and our attention to detail is kept to the highest levels and in line with Klättermusens standards.
Together with the production team and factories making sure they have the latest specifications, meeting our costing targets and follows the approved pre-production samples.
With a focus on the in line collection you will work closely with the designer, always striving to update with the latest materials, constructions and production setup. The job includes travels to factories to ensure best practise.
Responsible for our products meeting the Klättermusen quality and workmanship standards.
Ensure quality and production issues are solved and implemented together with Service and Production teams.



What you have:
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in working with developing backpacks and accessories.
Experienced within technical solutions and construction methods within backpacks, gloves and other accessories
Experience within production facilities and handling contact with factories.
Business-level proficiency in written and oral English communication.
Practical knowledge of a PLM (product lifecycle management) system.
A humble team player with great communication and organisation skills.
